According to the operator, they are positive that the revenue will continue to increase once they have completed the proposed expansion by 2019. The project was funded with 220 billion baht. Tourist wanting to try the best French restaurant in Chiang Mai will be able to travel there more conveniently once the expansion is finished. Along with Chiang Mai, the five other airports expected to have its expansion completed by next year are Don Mueang, Mae Fah Luang-Chiang Rai, Suvarnabhumi, Hat Yai and Phuket airports.
The company is proud to say that they are religiously following the timeline they have set for the five-year investment project which began in 2015. According to Aot, the total revenue they have received during the previous fiscal budget year from October of 2016 to September of 2017 amounted to 56.7 billion baht. For the current fiscal year, the management is expecting that the growth will reach between 9 and 10 per cent.

The president of AoT, NitinaiSirismatthakarn, said during a seminar that it is possible for the revenue to be twice the previous amount because of a number of contributing factors such as the completion of big projects like the airports in Don Mueang and Suvarnabhumi. They are also positive about the way things are being managed in other airports under them. The company is also investing in other businesses that have nothing to do with aeronautics.
The agency is also glad about the fact that the number of tourist arrivals continue to rise. Thailand is also welcoming new international airlines after the International Civil Aviation Organization lifted the red flag. These airlines made it possible to serve the increasing number of tourists that are coming to the country to experience the best French restaurant in Chiang Mai, to roam the streets of Bangkok or to try the world famous street foods.
