Air Route From Incheon Going To Da Nang Number One In Asia Pacific

Based on the latest figures released by Routes online using the data provided by OAG Schedules Analyser or OAG, the number of passengers that are traveling between Incheon International Airport and Da Nang airport located in central Vietnam is found to be the fastest growing in all of the air routes within Asia Pacific for the year 2018. The latest report confirms that tourists are flocking to beach hotels in Danang because the passenger volumes has increases significantly by 71 per cent reaching 2.2 million tourists.

The increase was the main reason why the particular air route has managed to stay ahead of the air route between Ninoy Aquino International Airport located in Manila, Philippines and Iloilo International Airport which is another island in the Philippines. This domestic route took the second spot in terms of growth ranking.

The findings of the study were published in time for the delegation that is coming together to participate in the route development forum called Routes Asia 2019. The forum was held at Cebu, located in the Philippines. The findings revealed that the top 100 air routes within the Asia Pacific region with the highest number of passenger arrivals for the previous year 2018. The rankings were based on the percentage of annual growth for the year 2018 compared to the same period of 2017.

OAG said that between Incheon International Airport and Danang International Airport, the two-way passenger capacity spiked by 73 per cent in 2018. They were able to accommodate a total of 2.8 million seats. The market has 10 carriers for that period while in 2017 there were only nine.

Jin Air holds the highest seating capacity at 20 per cent out of the total number of available passenger seats while Korean Air is responsible for 15.1 per cent of the seats. The third, at 13.2 per cent, is hold by Jeju Airlines. All in all, there were nearly 12,100 flights that departed from Incheon in 2018 while in 2017 it was less than 7,500. This means that more Korean tourists visited beach hotels in Danang compared to the same period in 2017.
