Practical 6 Specific Heat Capacity
Introduction
This practical is a bit like practicals 0 and 00 in that students are using a kettle and temperature sensor however, this time they measure the rate of temperature rise rather than the change in temperature and they use their results to find the specific heat capacity of water. There are many ways of improving this method so students should have no problem fulfilling the requirements of CE.

Assessment
This practical can be used to assess DCP and CE, students should follow the same procedure as used on all the practicals up to this point in the programme. Details of the actual requirements can not be given here as it would give to much information to my students and I wouldn't be able to use this practical for assessment.
