Practical Programm
Introduction
I start the year by giving the students some fairly straightforward practicals so they get familiar with the apparatus, I have a lot of fancy stuff from Pasco and Vernier so they need some time to become familiar with it as well as learning how to make tables and graphs. As the term progresses students start to make decisions for themselves and process data without instruction, this is when the assessment starts. I haven't included the whole programme here but its a representative selection, I like to change the programme from year to year especially the topics for assessing "Design".
Writing Reports
It makes it much easier to assess reports if all students use the same structure, I point my students to this website so they can use the strucure outlined in the internal assessment section.
